HOW TO TURN OUR DREAM BOARDS INTO ACTION BOARDS
I used to spend MY summers CUTTING OUT PIECES OF MAGAZINES to make collages.
I used to frame my fave one and take it with me to University so I could see the beach and cocktails and the celebs on red carpets I idolized. Anyone else, or just me?
This started a tradition of creating a board of my favorite things. I’ll be honest, the decades-worth of magazines I kept didn’t come with me to America BUT I kept going with digital collages.
When I started my own coaching business and went from one motivational event to another it occurred to me that looking and learning and dreaming of what we want in life or who we want to become is so different from the ACTION STEPS and actually making it happen!
TOP TIP
I know we don’t like to peer too close into a mirror, right? We see those un-plucked eyebrow hairs or the zit…. and it’s the same with our dream board: we don’t want to peer too close and read the price tag on our dream car, learn the # of hours in the gym it’ll take to get that body, or think about how long and how hard we need to save for the ultimate vacation. The phrase is “dare to dream” but the truth is: there are a lot of dreamers, just not many people willing to do the planing and make the sacrifices. There aren’t enough people who dare to ACT.
Have you read Tony Robbin’s UNSHAKEABLE? Or David Bach’s SMART WOMEN FINISH RICH?
These are expert minds sharing stories, facts, knowledge, experience and proven tools that span decades! It should be SMART WOMEN READ THIS BOOK! Life doesn’t owe us anything, but what do we owe ourselves? Financial freedom? A wall of security around you and your loved ones? The ability to do anything and go anywhere we want with whoever we want?!
THAT is why I became an entrepreneur and this is why my vision board ALWAYS has proof of what I’ve already accomplished because some of us make dreams reality.
