QUARANTINE DRANKS
I looked it up I swear; “QUARANTINI” is anything you want it to be!
BACKGROUND
Ladies I have struggled with controlling myself in the past; whether it was eating too much or drinking too much; I’ve been there!
On New Year bringing in 2019 I decided to skip the champagne and it planted an idea in my head…. I didn’t drink for 10 months on a total whim! (And NO I wasn’t pregnant) I wanted to test myself….but you know what? I missed out on some good times (bar-hopping after an intense and productive weekend with female entrepreneurs was not as fun for me as it could have been!) If you choose not to drink; TOTALLY FINE - I want you to OWN IT!
But I don’t think my choices were good enough…. life is worth living, and MODERATION is key! So here are a few of my beverages of choice and OF COURSE one mocktail cause the fun and drink-fashion is for everyone!
Kahlua Protein-style
in the UK you guys got Tia Maria, but I had to make do with Kahlua when I got over here to the USA.. it’s equally as good! And this is something I will gladly indulge myself with on occasion!!
1 Part Kahlua
2 part high-protein almond milk (I like SILK almond + cashew milk)
3-4 large ice cubes
MOCKTAIL OF DA MONTH
For those 10 months - here’s my go-to drink!!!
2 shots Mango Herbal Aloe Concentrate
1 glass Diet Tonic Water
Plenty Ice!
I’m serious - this one’s delicious AND great for your gut health and reducing bloating!!
Let’s Go SPRITZER-STYLE
Amazing way to lower the calories - spritzers!! Dilute your alcohol, and if you wanna go with wine; that’s fine! But there is less sugar in a single shot of your fave vodka, gin or hard liqueur tbth - to be totally honest, that is!
Why not add a few cranberries?? These have great antioxidant properties AND are a superfood!!
