GROUP FITNESS
If you have worked out as part of a group, you may have noticed that you got a better workout in and put more into it vs when you worked out alone?
For me there’s something about being exposed (especially as a trainer myself) I gotta up my game in case others are watching, gauging how much they can push themselves… we’re holding each other ACCOUNTABLE!
Partner Workout
There may be strength in numbers, and that number can be 2!
I find a lot of my clients are thrilled when 1 friend or parent shows interest in getting healthy, or they maybe commit to come to a Zumba class, or join the gym. It’s a HUGE confidence boost if you feel like you’re grinding away solo and maybe the moment you feel like you might fall off your plan is the moment that the people around you see your motivation, dedication and match it!
Ain’t nothing wrong with getting in your zone!
Some days you just need to focus on YOU right? And I must stress that self care is NOT SELFISH! On days when I’m ready to lift heavy, I’d rather do that without worrying what people around me thinks of my facial expressions (lol.) Hence: tym to hit the gym ALONE.
This is also when my more badass playlist comes in; we’re talking Cardi B, some Eminem, Lil Wayne…
